Why am I seeing this?

The "enforcement type" error is caused when a certain component of the licensing system was not installed properly on your computer.

How to fix it

In the installation directory of the Hydromantis product that you've installed is a subdirectory called 'hasp'.

Within that subdirectory is a shortcut called 'HaspInstall'. Right-click on that shortcut and choose "Run as administrator".

If you get a success message, try activating the license again.

If you get an error message, it is most likely that you don't have the correct permissions to install the license manager.
Contact your IT department to get help with the installation.
It is also suggested that you temporarily disable your anti-virus software while trying to install the license manager.

If you've tried all of that and continue to have an issue, try downloading and installing the latest license manager from the "Thales" website. It may be newer than the one that is included in our software installation program.

Download and Install the Latest License Manager

  1. Go to "Thales" download site: Sentinel Downloads
  2. This should bring you to a page with the latest "Sentinel HASP/LDK – Windows GUI Run-time Installer" that looks similar to the screen below (the version number will be the latest available):

  3. Download that installer, unzip it, and run the "HASPUserSetup.exe" file.
    You will need administrator rights and might have to temporarily stop any anti-virus programs that you have.
  4. Once the new license manager has been installed, try activating the license again.
