WatPro FAQs

Generate reports
Q
How do I generate a report in WatPro?
A
Use the Report Setup window (under the Model
menu) to set your report options. Make sure you select "Save to
File", "Send to Printer" or both. Close the window and run the
WatPro model. The report will be generated using the results
from the model run.

Example
Q
Why can't I open the plant "example.ww"
in my WatPro Demo?
A
When WatPro is running in demonstration
mode, it is capable of opening only one file, "demo.ww". Once
registered, WatPro uses "example.ww" as it's default example
plant file. If you have accidentally damaged or lost the file "demo.ww"
and would like to review the demonstration version of WatPro,
you can
download another copy of the file here.

Print reports
Q
Why can't I print a report from WatPro?
A
Check the "Report Setup" option "Send Report
to Printer" has been selected and that a filename has been
chosen. Open the "Printer Setup" window from "Report Setup" and
verify that WatPro is looking for the correct printer.

Overlapping text
Q
Why is the text in the model output
screen overlapping?
A
Check that your display settings are using
"Small" fonts. Open Control Panel and double-click on the
Display icon. Under the Settings tab, click the Advanced button.
On the General tab, change the font setting to "Small". This bug
will be fixed in the next release of WatPro.

Temporary desktop file
Q
What is the file watpro2.tmp that appears
on my desktop?
A
If you have created a shortcut to
WatPro2.exe, the program will use the location of the shortcut
as the current directory. The file watpro2.tmp is a temporary
file generated while running the WatPro model. You would not
normally see this file. To fix this problem, do the following :
- Right-click on the program shortcut.
- Select "Properties" from the speed menu.
- In the "Start in" entry box type the path
to the WatPro2 directory. (It will be the same as the shortcut
path without the "watpro2.exe".)
- Click "Apply".
This bug will be fixed in the next release
of WatPro.
